Zoning & Permits
Don Robinson, Zoning & Codes Enforcement Officer - (570) 435-0919
The Zoning & Codes Enforcement Officer is responsible for the review and issuance of all zoning permits, inspecting work done under a zoning permit including, but not limited to, land development, subdivision, setbacks and lot size, and enforcing Township ordinances and codes as required by the International Property Maintenance Code.
It should be noted that permits are required for most work. Residents are required to complete an application form and make payment for the permit prior to a permit being issued. Please make contact with the Zoning Officer before commencing any work to ensure that you are in compliance with township ordinances and codes. If projects commence without the necessary permit, a stop work order will be posted and legal action may be taken.
The Township Zoning Officer makes the final interpretation of the Township zoning and ordinances. If you disagree with the determination made, you may appeal the decision by notifying the Zoning Officer of your decision to appeal.
To make an appointment, please contact the Zoning Officer at the above contact information.
